Fagus sylvatica or Fagus moesiaca forests of the southwestern and southern Carpathians and pre-Carpathian hills, with southern European floristic elements, including Aremonia agrimonoides, Festuca drymeja, Helleborus odorus, Tilia tomentosa, Corylus colurna, of Illyrian or Moesian affinities.
