Neutrophile to weakly acidophile Fagus moesiaca forests, of low mountains and hills of the southwestern Romanian Carpathians and pre-Carpathian ranges, with a cortège of southern, in part Illyrian, species, including Helleborus odorus, Asperula taurina, Daphne laureola, Ruscus aculeatus, Tamus communis, Tilia tomentosa.
