Western boreal mixed deciduous forests
Description (English)
Forests of Quercus robur, Ulmus glabra, Tilia cordata, Acer platanoides, Fraxinus excelsior, Corylus avellana and sometimes Fagus sylvatica and/or Carpinus betulus, of the southern Fennoscandian and Baltic regions of transition and interdigitation between taiga and nemoral deciduous forests. They usually constitute deciduous forests enclaved in a taiga environment, near the limits of the ranges of Fagus sylvatica and/or Carpinus betulus.
