Illyrian sub-Mediterranean oak-hornbeam forests
Description (English)
Quercus petraea and Carpinus betulus forests of sub-Mediterranean regions of the southeastern pre-Alps and karstic reliefs of Slovenia, northwestern Croatia and extreme northeastern Italy, where they occupy north-facing doline slopes and cool vales, much richer in thermophile elements than the forests of unit G1.A1A1.
