Helleno-Moesian Quercus petraea forests
Description (English)
Rare Quercus petraea-dominated forests of the hills and low mountain slopes of the mountains of north eastern Greece including the Pindus, the Moeso-Macedonian and Rhodope mountains, in particular of the supra-Mediterranean level of northern and middle Greece and of the hornbeam-durmast oak belt of southern and southwestern Bulgaria, the F.Y.R. of Macedonia and Albania.
