Description (English)
Local Quercus virgiliana-dominated forests of the hills and low mountain slopes of the mountains of north eastern Greece including the Pindus, the Moeso-Macedonian and Rhodope mountains, the Thessalian mountains, in particular of the supra-Mediterranean Quercion frainetto level of northern and middle Greece (Macedonia, Thrace, Epiros, Thessaly, Central Greece) and of the "Querceta frainetti" component of the xerothermal oak belt of southern and southwestern Bulgaria.
