Description (English)
Forests of southeastern Central Europe, within the range of the Carpinion illyricum, dominated by Carpinus betulus, alone or with a small admixture of other species, in particular Carpinus betulus-dominated communities of the Carinthian Helleboro nigri-Carpinetum.
