Arid zone matorral
Description (English)
Scrub and steppes of the arid Iberian southeast, North Africa, Anatolia, central Cyprus and Palestine, dominated by often scattered tall shrubs and small trees of Ziziphus lotus, Ziziphus spina-christi or Acacia albida, in part distinctively thermo-mediterranean, in part intermediate between Mediterranean formations and open dry tropical woodland not found in the EUNIS classification area.
