Description (English)

Salix alba-, Salix fragilis- or Salix x rubens-dominated facies of Mediterranean riverine poplar-ash-elm forests developed along rivers of lowland Iberia, southern France, Italy, Dalmatia, Albania, the F.Y.R. of Macedonia, Greece, the Mediterranean islands, Cyprus and Mediterranean Asia Minor; the accompanying cortège does not differ from that of poplar- or ash-dominated facies.
