Central European hygrophile acidophilous oak forests
Description (English)
Meso-hygrophile, acidophile Quercus petraea or Quercus robur forests characteristic of the central and eastern range of the Genisto tinctoriae-Quercetum petraeae s.l. greenweed-sessile oak acidophilous forests, in particular within and around the Bohemian Quadrangle and on peri-Pannonic or pre-Carpathian plateaux and low hills of the eastern Carpathian system, with an herb layer often dominated by monospecific swards of social gramineous species, in particular, Molinia arundinacea or Carex brizoides.
