Association with Neogoniolithon brassica-florida
Description (English)
The characteristic species of this association is the red alga Neogoniolithon brassica-florida. The association, when present, occupies the borders of the lower mediolittoral, where there is strong wave action. It may be present as a plaque on this lower mediolittoral rock. With it are found many species of the biocenosis to which it belongs, and, particularly, Ralfia verrucosa, Rivularia atra and Acrochaetium spp.
