Mediterranean supralittoral facies of tree truncks which have been washed ashore
Description (English)
Tree trunks or other large pieces of wood slowly decaying found on supralittoral beaches after being washed ashore after prolonged periods in the sea. Characteristic species are Agabiformius obtusus, Orchestia stephenseni, Dolichoiulus tongiorgii, Scarites laevigatus, Mesites pallidipennis, Orchestia sp, Porcelio sp. and Brachytemnoides filum
