Exposed Black sea upper infralittoral rock with turf of Corallinales
Description (English)
Rocky habitats in the infralittoral zone exposed to wave action with rocks, boulders and blocks typically covered with a dense turf of articulated corallines and/or crustose corallines. These habitats occur on exposed rocky coasts, from low water up to depths of 3m. Characteristic species:Articulated corallines (Corallina elongata, Corallina officinalis) and crustose corallines (Lithothamnionspp, Lithophyllumspp.).
