Description (English)
Baltic offshore bottoms in the aphotic zone, below halocline/pycnocline with at least 90 % coverage of shell gravel No perennial attached (not bivalves) erect group has ? 10 % coverage.
Physical environment
Substrate is shell gravel. Depth below approximately 20 m. Appears mostly in high energy exposure areas.

Southern part of Baltic Sea

Increase in atmospheric CO2 (Ocean acidification)
