Thermophile Calluna vulgaris heaths of the montane zone (beech forest level) of the Central Massif, the Pyrenees and the southwestern Alps, with Genista anglica, Genista pilosa, Vaccinium myrtillus and, often, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi.
