Description (English)
Conifer forests of the taiga belt of western Eurasia, west of the middle Petchora, dominated by Pinus sylvestris, sometimes accompanied by Picea abies, with an ericoid-dominated, moss-rich or lichen-rich undergrowth mostly formed by Calluna vulgaris, Empetrum hermaphroditum, Empetrum nigrum.
